Additional heavy rain is developing along the cold front and will be pushing through central Oklahoma this evening. Some areas from Watonga to Weatherford to Altus and to the east could see an additional inch or more of rain. Far western Oklahoma, the rain has pretty much ended for you. Still the potential for a few thunderstorms in south central Oklahoma with small hail and some gusty winds possible.

Overnight tonight the heavy rain pushes into southeast Oklahoma and will taper off for the rest of the state. There will be a 60 percent chance of rain in the Oklahoma City metro tonight. Early in the morning a few showers may linger around, but no heavy rain expected.

Thursday, the storm system moves into Arkansas and we will be left with cloudy skies and occasional drizzle for the afternoon. Highs are only expected to be in the 70s and lower 80s Thursday afternoon.

We are looking dry through the weekend with highs only in the 80s both Saturday and Sunday.
