High pressure has been in full control over the southern plains and dry air has provided nothing but sunshine.
Temperatures have had no problem climbing well into the 70s across the state. Of course with dry air and clear skies, it won't take much for temperatures to quickly cool back to the upper 40s overnight.
With a dry cold front on the way tomorrow, our southerly wind will pick up between 10 and 20 mph. This will help temperatures to take off into the mid and upper 80s, well above normal!
Our highs will fall back to the mid 70s on Friday behind the cold front. The weekend ahead looks seasonally warm and dry.
