EMSA Paramedics are helping the Christmas wish of an OKC boy come true.
Xavier Menosky, 7, has a rare neurological disorder that family members first noticed three years ago.
“It's slowly shutting down his body, much like Lou Gehrig's,” says Xavier's father Josh Menosky.
On Tuesday, Xavier started to dance when employees at Special Care, where he goes to school, asked if he liked surprises.
“Let's go,” said a giddy Xavier.
An EMSA ambulance served has Santa's Sleigh, as Xavier and his father were taken down to Bricktown for a ride on a canal. Next came a visit to the Academy of Contemporary Music. Xavier loves the drums and got advice on how to play from the drummer of the Flaming Lips.
“He's got this incredible energy. I can't believe it, he's blowing me away,” said the Flaming Lips' Matt Duckworth.
Xavier had a smile the whole time as he played the drums, guitar and piano at ACM.
“Anytime I can see him having fun like this and create a memory it's important,” said Josh.
EMSA paramedics work to make a Christmas wish come true every year.
