Fire crews put out two separate house fire in Midwest City, overnight.

The first was on N. Rose Drive, and the second was on Redbud Drive. Midwest City Firefighters were busy fighting one fire when the second fire broke out within 30 minutes apart.

The first fire on N. Rose Drive just off Air Depot started around 11:30 p.m. with two people inside. Fire crews told News 9 those people heard popping noises just before the fire. Both were able to make it out of the home. But the home is destroyed.

No word on a cause at this hour.

The second fire was also off Air Depot on Redbud Drive. We're told a man working out down the street actually saw the fire at the home and busted down the door to see if anyone was inside.

A mother and daughter live there but they were not home. Firefighters were able to save one dog but another dog did pass away.

The home is also heavily damaged. The Red Cross is now helping the mother and daughter.

Fire crews tell us these fires are in no way suspicious or connected.
