A metro man turned the tables during an attempted robbery.

The accused robber died after being shot by the would-be victim who was carrying a gun.

Saturday night we heard from neighbors who said the area near N.E. 63rd Street and Broadway is getting too dangerous.

The Four Seasons gas station on N.E. 63rd Street and Santa Fe Avenue was once known by neighbors as the neighborhood stop.

But after two fatal shootings, those nearby said they feel it's just not the same.

"I grew up in this neighborhood … since about yay high. A lot has changed since then," said one neighbor.

Two neighbors of the Four Seasons gas station, who wanted their identities hidden, said they view the corner much differently than before.

“It was our guy's, our neighborhood store until they got the liquor store and now it's a little off," said another neighbor.

Two fatal shooting in just a year and a half changed their views.

The first shooting took the life of a beloved store clerk, 62-year-old Habib Hajimirzaei or as neighbors called him, ‘Mr. Nice Guy.'

"That's what we called him, Mr. Nice Guy. If you didn't have exact change he'll tell you to pay him back whenever you came to pay him back probably just forget about it, say just don't worry about it, I got you," said the neighbor.

Hajimirzaei was fatally shot inside the store in July 2013.

The second shooting occurred Friday night. Oklahoma City police said sometime before 8 p.m., a customer was leaving the store and getting into his car when another man attempted to rob him.

But authorities said the customer holds a conceal and carry permit. According to police, the customer then fatally shot the suspect trying to rob him.

"Scary, scary man. I would have never thought it would happen again," said the neighbor.

"I was just up there yesterday. I wouldn't expect it there for the second time at the same store," said the other neighbor.

But even with the focus on the store, the two neighbors wanted it to be known that the corner doesn't describe the neighborhood.

"It's not a bad neighborhood, just the attention that's getting attracted to the neighborhood now," said the neighbor.

Police said the permit holder from Friday night's shooting remained on the scene and continues to cooperate with police.

Darrien Clark was arrested in Aug. 2013 for the murder of Hajimirzaei.

Clark has since been charged with first degree murder. His trial was set for September 2015.
