A tornado watch has been issued for parts of western Oklahoma until 10:00 PM. Counties in the watch include: Beckham, Custer, Dewey, Ellis, Greer, Harmon, Harper, Jackson, Roger Mills, Tillman, Washita, Woods and Woodward. Storms are developing in the Texas Panhandle now.
These storms are developing along the dryline in the panhandles again Monday afternoon. These storms will likely become severe quickly and move into far western Oklahoma.
All modes of severe weather are possible, including a couple of tornadoes, but the main threats are large hail and damaging wind gusts. The most likely area for a tornado to form will be in far western Oklahoma.
Another complex of storms looks likely to develop in the eastern Texas panhandle and move into western/central/southern Oklahoma overnight into Tuesday morning.
The News 9 weather team, including our large fleet of storm trackers, will be watching for developments.
