A crane collapse at a construction site in west Oklahoma City spilled diesel fuel and other fluids into a storm drain, prompting a response from hazmat crews.
The collapse occurred at the Oklahoma Territory Construction Company site located in the 3800 block of W. Reno Ave.
Authorities tell News 9 the collapsed crane leaked diesel fuel, transmission fluid and hydraulic fluid out onto the ground. A representative from the construction company told Oklahoma City fire crews that the crane held approximately 150 gallons of diesel fuel.
Crews with Storm Water Quality have also been notified after some of the spilled fluid managed to flow into a nearby drain.
Fire crews have deployed booms to contain the rest of the leaking fluid.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
