Oklahomans protest against war

A series of events are underway in Oklahoma to mark the five-year anniversary of the war in Iraq. 

The events kicked off Saturday with an anti-war rally. About two dozen people attended and some said they're focusing on which presidential candidate will pull troops out of harm's way.

A number of those at the rally and other voters said their choice for a new commander-in-chief will depend on what the candidates plan to do about the war once sworn into office.

John Scripsick, lost his son in the war. He said he's focused on who will be the next president.

"I could be a little one-sided, but if you voted for the way you're not going to get my vote," he said.

Barack Obama has pledged to begin an immediate withdrawal of troops from Iraq if elected and has a plan that will remove all troops by the end of 2009.

Hillary Clinton has hinted at a similar strategy. She'll bring troops home within 60 days of becoming president and hopes to have them all home within a year after that.

John McCain has said setting a timetable will result in chaos. He has suggested keeping an American presence in Iraq for another 100 years if necessary.

A number of the protesters said even though Clinton plans to withdraw the troops, their votes will go to Obama because Clinton supported the war when it was first launched.
