Researchers expect Oklahoma City's economy to perform better than national trends, city leaders learned Tuesday.
City leaders and economists met downtown today to review the state of the city's economy while the congress and the president discuss plan to stimulate a sluggish national economy.
"The boost from energy and the relatively stable housing market will probably help us far outperform the nation, if in fact we do experience a recession," research economist Mark Snead said.
If Oklahoma City gets a professional basketball team the city, especially the downtown area, would do even better than predicted, Snead said.
