Joan Gunter went to the movie theater near Crossroads Mall, but couldn't get in.

"Wal-Mart sold us a card that wasn't any good! It was fraudulent," Gunter said.

Gunter's son went to Wal-Mart and bought her a $25 Regal Entertainment gift card. The problem for Gunter is this card is only good at Regal-owned theaters and Oklahoma doesn't have any.

"Then why are you selling them," Gunter asked. "Why do you put them on the counter when they're not any good? I said that's fraud."

Thanks to a clause on the back of the card, the retailer, Wal-Mart in this case, doesn't have to refund or exchange the card.

Instead, Gunter called Regal Entertainment directly and she said they are in the process of sending her a refund. And Regal gift cards were not the only cards at Wal-Mart that could not be used in Oklahoma, except for online purchases. KB Toy gift cards were also being sold at local Wal-Marts.
