Former NFL player behind bars in Tulsa

Former NFL player Alonzo Spellman is behind bars in Tulsa after a short chase with police.

Officers said they were called to a convenience store in midtown Tulsa where Spellman was creating a disturbance.

Spellman saw police and drove off. Police had to use stop-sticks to flatten his tires. Officers fired pepper-spray pellets to force him out of his car.

The former first-round draft pick has a history of mental illness, police said.
