Staff Reports
Shields Boulevard will be closed near downtown for a year as part of the Interstate 40 relocation project.
Beginning Monday, the boulevard will be closed from SW 6 to SW 29.
"We just ask for their patients as construction on the Crosstown continues," said Brenda Perry, Oklahoma Department of Transportation spokeswoman. "There will be additional closures that are expected over the coming months."
Robinson Avenue between SW 18th and SW 23 also is closed in conjunction with ODOT's I-40 relocation project. When the bridge reopens in mid March it can be used as a detour for Shields Boulevard.
