Police believe a shooting Monday that interrupted rush hour traffic was gang related.

It happened near McKinley and NW 23 Street. We're told the suspects drove next to a dark Caprice with four people inside and started shooting. Two of the people inside the car were hit. The driver then drove two blocks away to the Auto Zone on NW 23 to ask for help.

"We were just riding," witness Tyrique Hankins said. "He was on his taking me, you know what I'm saying, to the store, and the next thing you know, a car pulled up on us and started shooting at us, and I just ducked."

"We have the gang unit out here investigating it and all indications are the victims have some gang affiliation," Capt. David Ellis of the Oklahoma City police said.

One victim was shot in the back and another shot in the arm. Police say the injuries are not life threatening.
