Mother sentenced to life for killing son

A Midwest City woman was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for killing her son.

Stephanie Davis, 22, was convicted last month of murder and child neglect in the 2006 death of her two-month-old son, Leandro Videz.

Authorities said the infant had suffered massive head injuries and was taken to a hospital in April 2006. Baby Videz stopped breathing while at the hospital and died.

Davis' former boyfriend Moses Videz was given five years in prison for child neglect in the case. He was acquitted of murder charges.
