Elizabeth Meade was born and raised in Oklahoma City. In 2002, she received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. Afterwards, Meade spent three years in Snowmass, Colorado. During that time she received a "Physical Fitness Specialist" certification and "Providing Dietary Guidance" certification from the Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas.
In 2003, Elizabeth started working as a physical therapist aide at the Sports Medicine Institute within the Aspen Club and Spa in Aspen, Colorado. The following year she started personal training at the Aspen Club and Spa and continued training there until moving back to Oklahoma City in 2005 to pursue a masters in Public Health.
Meade continued personal training in Oklahoma City while in graduate school. In addition, she received a personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2006. She graduated with an MPH from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in December 2007. Shortly thereafter, Elizabeth started personal training clients at INTEGRIS PACER Fitness Center.
She says she's been given the awesome privilege to work with two inspiring and enthusiastic couples taking part in the NEWS 9 and INTEGRIS Health's 2008 Metro Fitness Challenge. Elizabeth says the Bylers and the McCurdy's are both highly motivated couples, and it has been an honor to be their personal trainer and to work with them in their quest for weight loss and a healthier lifestyle. Clients like the McCurdy's and the Bylers are the reason I love my profession, Elizabeth said.
