Hope you are having a great week. I don't know if you are like me, but I decided at the beginning of the year to make a big commitment to exercise. I walk and lift weights with some friends, so it's great accountability. What about you?
If you are struggling this may jump start your program how would you like a place to work out and exercise and it not cost you a dime? I was talking in the newsroom to our Jennifer Pierce about being a mom, trying to eat right and exercise, and she told me about the place she works out for free and I thought its deals like that I love to hear about, so I can to pass it along to you!
In the heart of Bethany the welcome mat is open at The Cube. A 46,000 square foot facility that Council Road Baptist church uses to reach out to the community, and every morning people ready to exercise come for a little workout and fellowship and it's all free!
Chris Wall, the youth pastor at the church, says there are workout classes before 11:00 a.m. and that The Cube attracts many seniors early in the morning. They come workout, bring their computers and have a cup of coffee. Chris told me The Cube is known as the Senior Adult Community on the west side of town, then in the afternoon the basketball courts fill up for another wave of people needing to workout.
The Cube has two full basketball courts, a walking track, aerobics and karate are even taught there; there is volleyball, weights and other great workout equipment.
The Cube is located at NW 30th and Council Road. To find out more on the cube and the hours that it is open visit their website www.councilroad.org.
