Barnsdall firefighter dies during training

A 28-year-old volunteer firefighter is dead after collapsing at a training exercise near Stillwater over the weekend. 

Rusty Topping had just completed a live training exercise at Oklahoma State University's Fire Service training center on Saturday.  Other firefighters immediately started CPR, but Topping died at a Stillwater hospital. 

Topping was a volunteer with the Barnsdall Fire Department and worked for the city of Bartlesville.  

Services are set for Thursday afternoon at the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church.
