At least three children have been injured or killed in pools during the last week in the Oklahoma City-metro area.The Oklahoma State Department of Health Web site notes 220 children under the age of 15, between 1999 and 2003, were injured in submerging incidents. Of those 220 children, 77 were killed as a direct result of being submerged.
Health officials encourage parents to enroll their children in swimming lessons to help prevent children from drowning.
The following is a list of pools in the Oklahoma City area that offer eight swim lessons for $20:
