BLOG #2 JULY 22
Ok ... we're 6 sessions in to tan and tone, and I really can tell a difference. I notice that I am toning up ... and I've lost 2.5 pounds. Small changes, but in the long run I think they will show. Three more sessions and I will get measured. We'll know exactly how many inches I've lost overall. Also, it is really an incentive to try and eat healthier food. I've only had taco bell twice in the last 2 months. My caffeine intake is WAY down. I do have my favorite cup of coffee at Beatnix every morning after work, but other than that ... no caffeine for me. Only water. Do you have any idea how many times you have to use the restroom when you drink 3 liters of water a day? Let me tell you ... it is pretty much all the time. I think the biggest change I've noticed is that working out, eating better and drinking water has really helped me get better sleep. I was waking up constantly, now I sleep right through the afternoon. In turn, that has helped my energy level and my attitude.
It has been a busy week ... so I only went twice last week. (You're supposed to go three times per week at a minimum.) Here is the best part, the work out is only 28 minutes, and the last 4 minutes you literally lay flat on your back. The rest of the machines are fairly challenging. It is much more difficult than it looks.
Now ... onto other things I learned at Tan and Tone. The women who work there are sweet and encouraging. But they also have a penchant for telling great stories. One woman at the Norman store has tried nearly every diet under the sun, mainly so when people ask her she can speak from experience. Her latest diet ... the Taco Bell and Bud Light diet. She says she at a bean burrito, two tacos and water for lunch. Fast forward, she eats the same thing for dinner and substitutes a bud light for water. Now I'm sure all the physicians out there aren't applauding this diet, but she says she's lost more weight on this plan than anything else she's ever tried. Now, I don't think I'm jumping on the all T-Bell, all the time diet anytime soon .... But I at least don't feel so guilty about it anymore.
Ok ... my new goal this week is to go to tan and tone four times. I'm at zero and it is Tuesday. I say I've got time
