Americans are celebrating fast food as part of National Drive-Thru Day.
The July 24 holiday pays tribute to the drive-thru concept that was developed by In-N-Out Burgers in 1948.
Sixty years later, drive-thru windows are a staple at the about 187,000 fast food restaurants in the country.
NEWS 9's Doug Warner sacrificed his lunch break to spread the word about the holiday. Click on the featured video to watch him pay tribute to the drive-thru by visiting six restaurants for lunch.
