Operation Boot Camp, Month 2 - Day 2
What a difference a month makes. Today we did the bungee exercise. That's where we tie a karate belt around our waists, then loop a bungee cord through it. We run, skip and crawl across a course while our partner pulls backward with resistance using the cord. When we did this workout last month, I was barely moving. This month not only did I go faster, I had fun doing it. I think knowing what to expect helps. Don't get me wrong, these workouts are still hard. I still sweat just as much as I did on the first day. I just go harder and faster than I did, and with a much better attitude.
This week I'm changing up how I eat. Last month when I got home from boot camp I would pour a bowl of Grape Nuts almost every day. I'm going to start my day with a protein (eggs) rather than a carb. My last meal of the day will be a carb (like cereal). I'll eat my veggies during the day. My hope is that end-of-the-day carbs will give me plenty of fuel for the next morning's workout. I don't know if it will make a difference but I'll post it on here if there's a change in my energy either up or down.
