Arrest made in Enid bank robbery

Enid, Okla. -- Authorities arrested Billy James Bickham Monday for the July 26 robbery of the Bank of the West.

Upon searching his vehicle, Enid Police charged the 50-year-old man of robbery, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Cocaine.

Enid Police and the FBI also searched Bickham's house.

"We believe that evidence developed on this case since the time of the robbery and from the search of Bickham's residence and vehicle indicate Bickham was responsible for the Bank of the West robbery," Capt. Brassino said.

Bickham has served time for possession of a controlled substance, larceny, forgery and for multiple counts of robbery. He spend 17 years in a prison in Huntsville, Texas.
