1 dead after drive-by shooting

One man was killed and a second was injured in a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning, police said.

OKLAHOMA CITY - One man was killed and a second was injured in a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning, police said.

The driver, 34-year-old Darryl W. Braxton, and passenger Shalwan Leshore, 25, were on Bryant Avenue near SE 34 when a suspect drove next to their vehicle and fired several shots, which hit both men, officials said. The shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m.

Police said the men drove to a home on Briarwood Drive and called 911.

Both men were taken to an area hospital where Braxton died. Police said Leshore was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Police said the only suspect information they know is that they are looking for a dark colored vehicle.
