OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma high school students are promising to stop texting while driving, because it's a dangerous combination.
Students in Claremore took the pledge after a serious car accident involving a teacher and her daughter.
Police said the other driver was using a cell phone when he hit them.
"I've learned. Personally, I've texted while driving and after this I don't do it. It's too scary. There's too much of a risk," Claremore Senior Class President Brittney Wilson said.
Students are also selling bracelets to raise money for their teacher's medical bills.
