A tough day of driving for residents in eastern end of North Carolina. A day-long snowfall has kept snow plows busy and motorists looking over their shoulders to make sure the other guy going to stop in time. Before it's over later this evening...Greenville, North Carolina officials think they will have received nearly 5-inches of snow. A combination of cold air and moisture from the Atlantic have teamed up to give the eastern third of North Carolina a rare snow storm. Police have been busy most of the day handling minor accidents. Safety officials are concerned the continuing sub-freezing conditions will mean slippery driving through Wednesday morning before the temperatures rise above the freezing mark.
