OKLAHOMA CITY -- A nation-wide issue of homelessness in the U.S. will be address Thursday as communities meet to count and survey homeless individuals and families.
Point in Time is an annual survey that helps to show organizations serve the homeless, anticipate needs and better the lives of those without shelter.
The Homeless Alliance, the Coalition for the Needy and the City of Oklahoma City will work together to coordinate volunteers who visit homeless shelters, serve hot meals and count the number of homeless in the metro.

Oklahoma City Public School system found 1,832 homeless children attend schools in their district.
