Thunder Trade for Hornets' Tyson Chandler

OKLAHOMA CITY -- NEWS 9 Sports Anchor Toby Rowland has confirmed a trade by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Thunder have acquired Tyson Chandler from the New Orleans Hornets.

In exchange, the team trades Joe Smith and Chris Wilcox to the Hornets. Chandler was a fan favorite when the Hornets made Oklahoma City their home after Hurricane Katrina.

The two teams face off tonight, featuring the debuted of the Thunder's new mascot, Rumble the bison at halftime.
