There may be hope for patients who can't control their blood pressure through medication.
A clinical trial going on is testing the effectiveness of a small implantable device that lowers blood pressure. The small battery pack sends electrical pulses through wires to the ceratoid arteries. The brain works to counteract the pulses and brings the blood pressure down.
The results so far is that 75 percent of patients have seen a significant drop in blood pressure.
