NORMAN, Oklahoma -- NEWS 9 Sports Anchor Toby Rowland reports that OU women's basketball star Whitney Hand is out with an injury.

Hand has a fractured left index finger and is expected to miss games for up to 4 weeks. She suffered the injury in Saturday's win over Baylor. Hand is a starter, averaging 9.2 points per game and is considered one of the Big 12's best 3-point shooters. She is expected to be back in time for the NCAA tournament in mid-march.
