From News9 Meteorologist Stephanie Malone...
It is officially spring, but Oklahoma is about to get slammed with a winter storm. Starting on Friday temperatures will only get up to 45° and then fall throughout the day. There is also a 100% chance for rain changing over into snow later on Friday. With the cold temperatures, winter precipitation and a north wind at 20 to 40 miles per hour; Friday will feel more like winter than spring.
Saturday morning will start off with a morning freeze around 29° with the snow ending in the day. Accumulations will range from over a foot possible in northwest Oklahoma, 2 to 6 inches possible in the metro, and no accumulation expected in southeast Oklahoma.
Conditions will warm back up into seasonal conditions on Sunday.
