Crash Claims Allen Man

CENTRAHOMA, Oklahoma - An Allen man has died after running his pickup off a Coal County road and slamming into a tree.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Branden Horton was southbound on a county road north of Centrahoma bout 9 p.m. Friday when his pickup ran off the road and struck a tree.

The patrol says Horton was not wearing his seat belt and died at the scene.

The OHP is continuing to investigate but says excessive speed likely played a role in the crash.
