A cold front is making its way across Oklahoma this morning, and bringing destructive winds with it. Very strong northwesterly winds will spread over Oklahoma throughout the day with the strongest in western Oklahoma.
A high wind warning has been issued for western Oklahoma, which will be in effect until 11 o'clock this afternoon. This means that before 11 o'clock there will be gusts from 50 to 60 miles per hour. After 11 the gusts will subside, but we will continue to have strong winds throughout the day.
There is also a wind advisory across most of Oklahoma, will will remain in effect until 6 o'clock this evening. Throughout the day Oklahoma will have northwest winds sustained at 20 to 40 miles per hour with higher gust.
