Bountiful rain delivered to the state this morning. Widespread rain fall totals of 0.5'' to 1.5'' have already filled the buckets, and more showers and thunderstorms are on the way for this afternoon. Cloudy skies and cool east winds will prove for a dreary, yet somewhat welcomed soggy day.
Skies may clear enough to allow the sun to come out across southern Oklahoma. It's this area that will be monitored for the potential for severe storms this afternoon; storms capable of producing large hail and damaging winds.
The rain will gradually begin to clear from west-to-east Sunday night into Monday morning. Showers wrapping around the back side of the storm system may linger into Monday afternoon across central, northern and eastern Oklahoma.
