Reward Offered in Midwest City Fires

A $35,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for wildfires that destroyed 70 homes earlier this month.

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma - A $35,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for wildfires that destroyed 70 homes earlier this month.

West Des Moines, Iowa-based GuideOne Insurance is offering the reward, Midwest City Police announced Monday.

The company is representing multiple victims of the fire.

"We are excited that GuideOne Insurance has stepped up to offer a reward and we are hoping other insurance companies will follow," Chief Brandon Clabes said

Clables said the investigation into the fires is ongoing and asks anyone with information to call (405) 739-1306.
