Edmond Medical Office Evacuated

The Edmond Bomb squad has been called to the Edmond Regional Medical Building after a suspicious package was delivered to an office, police said.

EDMOND, Oklahoma - The Edmond Bomb squad has been called to the Edmond Regional Medical Building after a suspicious package was delivered to an office, police said.

The building was evacuated and the parking lot is blocked off, said police spokeswoman Glynda Chu.

Chu said the package was found near a door about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the building that includes doctors' offices and labs next to Edmond Medical Center.

About 50 doctors, staff and patients were removed from the building, Chu said.
