OKLAHOMA CITY -- Two teens were killed and three were others injured in a crash on I-40 in Seminole County late Thursday night.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers said the driver, 19-year-old Jeffrey Lindsey, was speeding when the vehicle's tire tread separated, causing him to run off the road, overturn and hit a tree.
Passengers 19-year-olds James Hammett and Kenneth Wright died from their injuries.
Lindsey and the other two passengers, 19-year-old Mike Murrow and 18-year-old Aljazzazi Abdallah, were listed in critical condition.
Friends of the family tell News9.com the boys were on their way to Eufaula.
