OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma State Highway Patrol trooper charged with violating a protective order was fired on Tuesday, according to OHP Capt. Chris West.

Ronnie Arganbright was placed on administrative leave on December 8 after being arrested for violating a protective order in Beckham County. He was charged on January 21, according to court documents.

Arganbright denies the charges. OHP has not commented on the allegations.

Arganbright is scheduled to be back in court in Sayre in March.
