DENVER -- An Oklahoma City pastor and his family are recovering after the vehicle they were in was hit by a semi in Colorado.

Rodney Beavers, executive pastor of the Westmoore Community Church in Oklahoma City, is in serious condition at a Denver hospital.

His wife, Cindi, is in serious condition at a hospital in Durango, Colorado.

The Beavers' children, 18-year-old Morgan and 12-year-old Preston, were hurt but their injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

A spokesman with the Colorado State Patrol said the accident happened around 7:00 p.m. Monday on Highway 160 near Pagosa Springs. Investigators say the road was icy and the semi and the Chevy Blazer the family was driving hit head-on.

The accident trapped Rodney and Cindi in the vehicle. The semi rolled several times.

A prayer vigil was held at the Westmoore Community Church Tuesday evening.

Members of the congregation told News 9 the family was in Colorado for a ski vacation.

Financial contributions can be made to an account that's been set up at the Focus Federal Credit Union.
