OKLAHOMA CITY -- There are concerns new 4G phones could jam satellites, which could impact air travel and emergency vehicles.

While 4G phones are fast, they could be dangerous. The concerns center around a network called Lightsquared.

The FCC is looking into whether signals from that network can overpower and jam GPS signals from satellites that people use all over the world to get directions.

Some of the biggest concerns are for emergency workers who need directions fast and rely on GPS to get them to the scene of crashes and for satellites that track airplanes.

Lightsquared is now working with the Pentagon to fix the problems.
