OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City Police said a disgruntled patron stole a tip jar from a Jersey Mike's Subs restaurant, claiming he had a gun.
Police were called to a robbery at the restaurant in the 6800 block of S.W. 3rd Street on Feb. 25 at about 10:30 a.m. Store employees told police a man entered the business at about 10 a.m., spoke with the clerk, then walked out.
About 30 minutes later, police said the man returned to the store and bought a sandwich. The man sat down to eat the sandwich then went back up to the counter. That's when the man took the tip jar that was sitting on the counter and told the employee he had a gun. The man never displayed a gun.
The man then walked out, got into a 2010-2011 black 4-door Honda Accord and drove off heading westbound on S.W. 3rd Street.
The man is described as a white male in his 30s, about 6-foot-1-inches tall and weighed about 170 pounds.
