Edmond Mother Charged With Abusing 7-Month-Old

EDMOND, Oklahoma -- The District Attorney has filed felony charges against an Edmond mother accused of abusing her seven-month-old baby.

Katherine Pasquali, 19, was arrested in February after the baby was taken to the hospital with a skull fracture and bleeding on the brain. The infant is now on a ventilator.

A court affidavit states Pasquali shook the baby several times and threw him on the kitchen floor.

Pasquali told police she had an abortion when she was six weeks pregnant. It wasn't until she was six months into the pregnancy she realized she was still pregnant.
