OKLAHOMA CITY -- A new housing report released Wednesday shows foreclosure rates are up slightly in the Oklahoma City area.
The figures from CoreLogic, an analytics group, indicate foreclosure rates rose in January 2011 to 2.32 percent. That's up almost half a percent from January 2010.
The foreclosure rate is also up statewide, rising more than half a percent in the last year.
There is, however, good news for local homeowners. The foreclosure rate in Oklahoma is one percent lower than the national rate, which sits at 3.63 percent.
The report also shows Oklahoma homeowners are doing a good job of keeping up with their house payments. The local mortgage delinquency rate is close to five percent, down from the same time last year.
