OKLAHOMA CITY -- Court documents released Monday detail charges against an Oklahoma City police officer accused of sexually abusing his adopted 16-year-old son.
Police arrested Sgt. Maurice Martinez for a second time on Friday, April 15. Investigators say Martinez gave his accuser $400 and put the teen on a bus from Oklahoma City to Tooele, Utah. Police say the teen lived with friends of Martinez.
Witnesses told investigators Martinez was trying to hide the boy from law enforcement.
Martinez now faces several charges, including one count of kidnapping, two counts of harboring a runaway juvenile, seven counts of sexual abuse by a caretaker and two counts of forcible sodomy.
