OKLAHOMA CITY – Opening statements begin Tuesday morning in the first-degree murder trial of two men charged in the shooting death of a young robber in an Oklahoma City pharmacy.
Prosecutors say Anthony Morrison and Emanuel Mitchell planned the robbery of Reliable Pharmacy in May 2009. During the robbery, pharmacist Jerome Ersland shot and killed 16-year-old Antwun Parker.
Prosecutors charged Morrison and Mitchell under Oklahoma's felony murder law because Parker died during the commission of a crime.
Nine women and three men have been seated on the jury.
