Police Say Alcohol Involved In Deadly Shooting In Perry

PERRY, Oklahoma -- A night of drinking may have led to a fight and then a deadly shooting in Perry.

Police say 23-year-old Shane Rupp and 22-year-old Donnie Talley were drinking Sunday night when they got into an argument. Police say at some point, Rupp pulled out a gun and shot Talley in the head.

Two women were in the house at the time of the shooting. One woman called police, but police say the other woman became scared and left before officers arrived.

Police took Rupp into custody and planned to question him Monday. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting Perry police with the investigation.

Rupp has not been charged.
