Decade lists are popping up everywhere...Games of the Decade...Athletes of the Decade...Teams of the Decade. So here's my attempt to take the path most traveled. Here are my Top 10 Oklahomans in Sports of the Decade.

10) Sherri Coale - Captivating personality who has made women's basketball relavent in Oklahoma.

9) Chris Paul - He wasn't here long, but he made us fall in the love with the NBA.

8) Sam Bradford - From PC North to the Heisman. Maybe OU's most popular player ever.

7) Courtney Paris - The most dominant female athlete in state history. Four years of mind-boggling statistics.

6) Jason White - A 1st and 3rd place finish in the Heisman race. Not bad for a guy with no knees.

5) Boone Pickens - He transformed a university.

4) Blake Griffin - When all is said and done, he'll be the most successful basketball player in OU history.

3) Adrian Peterson - The greatest Sooner football player of the decade. And then became the best running back in the NFL. A sure-fire Hall-of-Famer.

2) Mick Cornett - Don' laugh. Go back to 2000 and tell me you had any idea the NBA could ever live in Oklahoma City. A masterful job of guiding us to places we never dreamed we could go. (Add Clay Bennett as a part of this entry.)

1) Bob Stoops - No explanation needed.
