A vehicle pulled up next to me and rolled down the window on the passengers side Saturday night as I prepared to do a live shot outside Mitchell Park after OU beat North Carolina. The middle-aged woman in powder blue said she wanted me to put her on TV so she could tell everyone how she didnt appreciate the lack of hospitality showed by Sooner fans. My reaction inwardly, while I never condone rudeness, was "good for Sooner fans."

OU baseball fans poured out last weekend and made it difficult for the opposition. It was definitely a home field advantage. Lets be honest...the Tarheels havent had to leave the friendly confines of Chapel Hill too often in post-season play in recent years. Im sure they expected Sooner fans to be honored just to be in their presence.

Instead, it was a great atmosphere...contentious at times...fans hanging on every pitch. Cheering for the home team and letting the visitors know they were in hostile territory. Good for Sooner fans.

OU won three one-run games with good pitching, stellar defense and timely hitting...and a big assist from the "Yardbirds" and thousands dressed in Crimson and Cream.
