OU vs Baylor Gameday Notes

Getting ready to head over to Floyd Casey Stadium for tonights game. Here are a few nuggets to whet your appetite before kickoff.

- Baylor has been very heavily penalized this year. 90 penalties on the season. By comparison, OU has only been whistled 58 times.

- Logically, OU should be able to make hay in the air. The Sooners have the #4 passing offense in the nation (321.5 ypg). Baylor has the #108 pass defense in the country.

- Baylor has scored 30+ points in nine of 11 games this season and in all five home games.

- Look for the speed of Tony Jefferson and Ronnell Lewis to be called on to try to contain and chase Robert Griffin tonight.

- Baylors last eight touchdowns have all been rushing TDs.

- Robert Griffin has accounted for 24 plays of 30 yards or more this season (17 of those for touchdowns).

- Griffin is the first Baylor QB to ever throw for over 3,000 yards in a season.

- OU defensive back Marcus Trice has been simulating Robert Griffin this week on the scout team in practice. Defensive Coordinator Brent Venables says hes done a great job, although been he throws the ball he "throws it like a grenade."
