STILLWATER, Oklahoma – Oklahoma State's run for the 2011 NCAA Golf Championship fell short in a 3-2 match play loss to Augusta State on Saturday.

OSU, the No. 3 seed in match play, had control of the round several times but also relinquished control several times, eventually leading to an extra hole.

ASU's Carter Newman battled back and forth with OSU sophomore Sean Einhaus before eventually sinking a five-foot putt to seal the victory for the No. 7 seed Jaguars.

Augusta State will face Georgia for the NCAA Championship.

Freshman Talor Gooch had an impressive day for the Cowboys, winning 7 and 5 for OSU's first point of the day.

Junior Morgan Hoffman had Oklahoma State's other point with a 1-up victory against ASU's Mitchell Krywulycz.

OSU's Kevin Tway and Peter Uihlein both dropped their matches on the day.
