OKLAHOMA CITY—Summer camp kids at the Thunder Youth Camp received another special visitor this week as OKC guard Daeuqan Cook stopped by camp Thursday.
"A lot of kids don't get the opportunity to be around professional athletes," he noted – much less have "the opportunity to interact with them … Being able to give back to the community, being able to be hands-on with these kids, it just makes it even more special."
Cook shot some baskets, coached and talked to the kids during the camp day and also talked with the media about his future plans.
Although Cook is a free agent- his agent says there are a handful of teams expressing interest in the three-point specialist. Unitl he knows his final destination, he is enjoying a low-key summer and says he will get back to his workouts starting next week here in OKC.
